Jared Brooks
Jared Brooks is a second-year graduate student at UMKC Conservatory, pursuing dual masters degrees in Vocal Performance and Choral Conducting. He studies with Dr. Aidan Soder and with Dr. Jennifer Sengin, respectively. A native of Georgia, he earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Reinhardt University, where he studied voice with Dr. Cory Schantz and conducting with Dr. Martha Shaw.
An active performer, Jared is currently preparing to perform as Don José in UMKC’s 2026 production of Carmen. Previous roles include; Canio (Pagliacci), Rapunzel’s Prince (Into the Woods), Le Prince Charmant (Cendrillon), Basilio (Le nozze di Figaro), The Witch (Hänsel und Gretel). He is equally engaged with sacred music and currently serves as Choral/Vocal Intern at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas. Recent solo appearances include Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil with Te Deum, and Bach’s Mass in G Major.
In his free time, Jared enjoys playing guitar, golfing, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.
